Court Clears NBA Star Derrick Rose Of Rape

Derrick Rose free of rape charges

A court in Los Angeles on Wednesday cleared NBA star, Derrick Rose and three of his friends from conspiring to rape his girlfriend.

The trial saw the end of an event of an August night in 2013 that had threatened the career of the Knick Point guard. The woman in question had accused Derrick Rose and his friends of raping her when she was incapacitated with drugs and alcohol, and that he and his friends took advantage of her.
The defense of Derrick Rose accused the woman of trying to use the case as a premise to lay claims of Derrick Rose fortune. They also revealed that she was out for revenge after she was dumped by Derrick Rose and that she was a liar.

The woman lawyer also came out hard on Derrick Rose, calling him a sexual deviant and that he and his friends never showed any form of remorse for what happened.

The Jurors later gave their verdict exonerating Derrick James of any wrong doing on that fateful night and find them not guilty.

Derrick Rose and his friends who never denied having any form of sexual intercourse with the lady claim it was consensual sex and no one was forced. In his statement, he said he was happy about the verdict and he is ready to put this behind him and focus on his career.
