2016 AWC: Nigeria, Ghana Clash Ends In Score Draw

The Super Falcons of Nigeria played out an entertaining ‎one-all draw with rivals, Black Queens of Ghana, in what was their second Group B game at the ongoing 2016 African Women Championship (AWC) in Cameroon.

Tournament topscorer Asisat Oshoala edged Nigeria ahead in the 19th minute but were soon pegged back by Ghana on the stroke of halftime. Both sides had decent opportunities to score a second goal but both defences ‎emerged victorious after the interval as the much anticipated clash ended in a draw.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are still at the summit of Group B ahead of rivals Ghana with both sides on 4 points while Mali and Kenya, who are both without any point, battle each other later today.
