5-time world champions Brazil maintain top spot in the South American section of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers following their convincing 3-0 win over rivals Argentina in Belo Horizonte.
Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho gave Brazil the lead in the 24th minute before Neymar got his 50th international goal with his side's second goal on the stroke of halftime. Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho made sure of the points for the Selecao with the third goal thirteen minutes into the second half.
The win takes Brazil to 24 points from 11 games, eight points ahead of Argentina, who drop to 6th spot with 16 points with just seven games left in the qualifiers.
