Algeria Replace Injured Stars Ahead Of Eagles World Cup Qualifying Clash



New Algeria coach George Leekens have called up  replacements for three injured stars ahead of their mouth watering 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.

This was confirmed via a statement from the Algeria Football Federation (FAF) as Baghdad Bounedjah, Yassine Benzia and Ismael Benaccer were named as late replacements for the injured players namely Lyon midfielder Rachid Ghezzal, midfielder Ryad Boudebouz of French side Montpellier and Dinamo Zagreb striker Hilal Soudani.

Ghezzal and Boudebouz were checked by the team doctors before being released from the team's training camp while Soudani didn't fly into their camp in Algiers but his medical records were checked.

In a related development, the Algerian contingent is scheduled to arrive on ‎Thursday morning aboard a chartered flight ahead of Saturday's game.‎
