Chelsea have moved to the summit of the English
Premier League (EPL) following a dominant and convincing 5-0 win over Everton.
The Stamford Bridge outfit got the ball rolling with two goals in one minute from Eden Hazard and Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso before Diego Costa netted his 9th league goal of the season three minutes from the interval to give Chelsea a 3-0 halftime lead. Hazard completed his brace on 56 minutes before Spanish forward Pedro Rodriguez rounded off the emphatic 5-0 win over Ronald Koeman's Everton in a match that featured Nigerian winger Victor Moses for the entire duration.
By virtue of the win, Chelsea leapfrog former leaders Manchester City (24 points) at the top of the table with 25 points pending the outcome of Sunday's EPL games involving title contenders like Liverpool and Arsenal
