Former Liverpool And England Captain Gerrard Announces Exit From LA Galaxy

Former Liverpool and Three Lions of England skipper‎ Steven Gerrard has revealed that he would be leaving Major League Soccer (MLS) side, LA Galaxy, when his contract expires next month.

Gerrard, who has been linked with Scottish Premier League (SPL) champions Celtic and English Championship leaders Newcastle United, joined LA Galaxy in 2015 and went on to score 5 goals in 34 appearances.

On his immediate plans, the 36-year old midfielder stated that he is not ready to leave the world of football. In his words, he said: "It's certainly not the end of me in football terms."

"I'm going home to spend time with family and decide the best challenge.

"I've got options on the pitch, off the pitch and I've got a bit of thinking to do over the next two, three weeks."‎ he further added.

He also admitted he was disappointed at not being able to fulfil his objective of helping Bruce Arena's side the MLS Cup trophy after LA Galaxy were beaten on penalties by the Colorado Rapids in the play-offs on November 6.
