Women Super League (WSL) champions, Manchester City, have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Women's UEFA Champions League following their 2-1 aggregate win over Brondby of Denmark.
Leading 1-0 from their home leg, Manchester City took the lead through influential forward Toni Duggan in the 64th minute but were pegged back moments as Nana Christensen levelled for the hosts. The away side remained largely untroubled for the last minutes of the game, which ended 1-1 and were deserving of their last eight spot.
By virtue of the win, the only English side left in the competition, Manchester City, join other giants like Spanish outfit Barcelona, French club Olympique Lyon, Swedish side Rosengrad and Fortuna Hjorring of Denmark in the last eight.
