Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was in superb form as he netted a hat-trick to aid his side to a 3-0 win over hosts and rivals Atletico Madrid in the Madrid Derby in what was the last home deby game for Diego Simeone's men before the move to a new stadium.
Ronaldo opened the scoring midway into the first half via a deflected free-kick before he added two goals in six second half minutes to complete the 39th hattrick of a phenomenal career and lead his side to a dominant 3-0 win.
The victory for Real Madrid ended Atletico's 5-match unbeaten home run against the Los Merengues while also extending their lead at the top of the La Liga table to four points ahead of nearest challengers and arch rivals Barcelona.
