OGC Nice have moved back to the top of the French Ligue 1 after their hard fought 1-0 away win over Saint Etienne at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
Valentine Eysseric, who was on loan at Saint Etienne last season, netted the only goal of the game in the 63rd as he produced a fine finish from the edge of the penalty area.
The win condemns the hosts to a first home defeat in 10 games and move Nice three points ahead of rivals Monaco, who won 3-0 at Lorient on Friday and defending champions Paris Saint Germain, who defeated Nantes 2-0 on Saturday.
