In-Form Moses Hits Brace As Nigeria Beat Algeria 3-1 To Extend Lead In Group B ‎

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have extended their lead at the top of Group B to four points following an impressive 3-1 win over Algeria at the Nest of Champions Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.

Chelsea winger Victor Moses scored the opening goal on 25 minutes before team captain John Mikel Obi added a second goal three minutes from halftime. Algeria gave themselves a lifeline midway into the second via a rocket shot from midfielder Nabil Bentaleb but any hope of a comeback was extinguished by the aforementioned Moses in added time.

The win takes Nigeria to 6 points at the top of Group B ahead of Cameroon (2 points), Zambia (1 point) and Algeria (1 point).
