The five-man shortlist for the BBC African Footballer of the Year has been revealed with Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez (Algeria), current African footballer of the year Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (Gabon), Liverpool forward Sadio Mane (Senegal), Manchester City outcast Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast) and new West Ham star André Ayew (Ghana) making the list.
The shortlist was made known during a special live broadcast on Saturday, November 12, 2016 with the winner expected to be decided by fans from across the world from now till 18:00 GMT on November 28.
The winner of the award will be announced on Monday, December 12, 2016.
