Phenomenal Murray Beats Djokovic To Win ATP World Tour Finals Title And Retain Top Spot
Andy Murray was in scintillating form as he saw off rival and 5-time champion Novak Djokovic in straight sets to win the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals Title at the O2 Arena in London thereby maintain the world number one spot he claimed from Djokovic at the start of the month.
Murray defeated defending champion Djokovic 6-3 6-4 during the much anticipated final to win the ATP World Tour Finals for the first time in his career as well as extend his career-best winning run to 24 matches.
Speaking after the match, a jubilant Murray said: "I'm very happy to win and to be world number one is very special."
"It's very special playing against Novak in a match like this." he further added.
The loss ends the four-year dominance of Novak Djokvic at the tournament as he also failed to match tennis legend Roger Federer's record of six titles.
