Newly Crowned World Number One Murray Beats Isner To Win Paris Masters

Andy Murray marked his new status as world number one with a win over American John Isner for his first Paris Masters title and his sixth A‎TP title of a memorable year.

Murray, 29, is expected to be officially confirmed as Great Britain's first singles number one since the computerised rankings were introduced in 1973 and he marked that with a 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 win over the aforementioned Isner.

The 29-year old heads to the last event of the year, which is the ATP World Tour Finals in London as the top seed for the first time though the man he replaced Novak Djokovic could still reclaim the spot back if he wins every match at the tournament.
