Attend To Hunger in The Country and Leave Me Alone - Fayose to Buhari

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has asked President Buhari to save Nigerians from suffering and hunger and leave him alone to do his work.

Governor Fayose who spoke through his Special Adviser on Public Communication and New Media, Lere Olayinka, was responding to the revelation that, Senator Obanikoro confession Had indicted him. It was believed that Senator Obanikoro had confessed to having given cash which was from the National Security Adviser under Col. Sambo Dasuki for his election in Ekiti State.

Governor Fayose denied any knowledge of such accusation and berated the EFCC of trying to blackmail him. He claimed not to be worried about such allegations as his election was well funded, as he believed also the return of Obanikoro from the United State was stage managed by some people.

Governor Fayose also charged the Government of President Buhari to concentrate on helping Nigerians out of hunger and poverty as Nigerians are more interested in food on their table.

Fayose vowed not to be distracted by the antics of the EFCC as he continues his good work in Ekiti state and charged the EFCC to beam more light on the funding of the All Progressive Congress election funding.

Supreme Court Judge Accuses Amaechi of Offering Him Bribe

The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi had been implicated by one of the Supreme Court Judges that was interrogated by the DSS.

The Supreme Court Judge, Justice Iyang Okoro, in a letter to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, gave details of how Rotimi Amaechi approached him to solicit for victory in election cases. He said Amaechi claims to be sent by President Buhari and the All Progressive Congress, APC to make sure they win the election petition cases in Rivers State, Akwa Ibom and Abia State.

He accused Ameachi of trying to bribe him, as he was also promised to receive a monthly pay from Umana Umana, candidate of All Progressive Congress Party from Akwa Ibom State if the petition goes in their favor.

This revelation is coming after the DSS had raided some Supreme Court Judges all over the country for corrupt practices as Buhari administration vows to fight corruption.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi is yet to respond to this allegation at the time of reporting this development.

Obanikoro to Regain Freedom Soon - Lawyer

The counsel representing the former Minister of State, for Defense and Foreign Affair, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has urged his supporter to remain calm. The counsel insisted that Senator Obanikoro will soon regain freedom from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

Senator Obanikoro, who was whisked by the EFCC shortly after returning to the country from the United State of America, over alleged financial during his time as a minister under Goodluck Jonathan administration.  He has been in EFCC custody in Abuja where he is being interrogated.

His Lawyer, Mr. Eze, speaking to newsmen said the EFCC are doing their work and so far they have been happy with the manner the EFCC are handling the case. He said Senator Obanikoro is being treated fairly and they are working hard to secure his release so he can go and rest after a long journey from the United State of America.

Senator Obanikoro on his arrival back to the country after a long time away reported himself to the EFCC on his arrival to the country. He has been on the EFCC list of those to be questioned for alleged anti grafting and money laundering. He has been in custody at the EFCC office in Abuja since on Monday.

Ken Saro-Wiwa ‎Jr was a prolific journalist and author until his death in addition to serving as an aide under former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar'Adua before he was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and International Media during the President Goodluck Jonathan regime.
